On 6th November 2011 a Team of Legends Members attended the Annual Martial Arts Tournament in Kent (MAASIF)
We were a hit, winning trophies and showing the competition that we are a team to watch out for.
Our White and Red Belt Kickboxing squad smashed through their weight and age category destroying Black Belts in their way.
Watch out for these young lads (Josh and Moe)

Amateur MMA was a walk through with our boy Tom being moved into the Adult category at the age of 17, showing the adults that age is just a number. He destroyed all in his way and missed out on 1st place by only 1 point.

Ollie, only having trained with us for 3 months, made easy his wins in the Teens Amateur MMA section bringing back a nice trophy.

Well Done To All Who Stepped Up.

Legends will be holding The Staines Boxing Club classes every Wednesday from 6 pm to 7:30pm at our Gym, and have plans to make a Full time Boxing Gym to offer the community something which is not available within the Staines area.

With team Legends we will only be taking part in the amateur MMA and kickboxing categories. This will be a great opportunity for team members to experience MMA who hasn’t competed before. We will be training extra hard to bring back gold for the club. All team members are welcome to compete or if not come down to support your team mates.

Last Saturday Legends Mixed Martial Arts Academy carried out a demonstration at Staines market high street. This was to demonstrate our styles, skills and to promote our club to the local people. Our marque was very busy and popular during the whole day thanks to our team members demonstration drills and sparring in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu BJJ and MMA. We had many interest from males, females, young and old wanting to join our classes. It was a warm day, the sun was out and everybody enjoyed themselves.

So far from the demonstration we have gain 5 new members, so it was a great success promotion wise. We hope to see many more new faces at the gym. The more new members there are the better is for every member as this will help the club grow (like getting better equipments) and more sparring partners.

I would like to say thank you to the team members who came down to help out at Staines Market – Josh Daniels, Ollie Dyson, Dean Lawrence and Richard Hart.

We hope to arrange another demonstration soon. Next time it will be bigger and better.
